Underfloor Heating

Underfloor heating provides more comfortable warmth than radiator systems. A radiator system heats the air at head height which then travels further up to the ceiling only to travel downwards and return as a cold draft around one's feet.

If the system is used as a total heating solution, it is possible to lower the average room temperature by 2ºC without affecting the level of comfort. This means that heating can be reduced by around 20-30% - which is both an economic and an environmental advantage.

Underfloor heating systems use plastic UPVC piping embedded either in the floor boards, floor screed or in polystyrene insulatation between the floor joists.
